Real life pressures are trumping blog activities this week. It's the last week of school, and I'm just trying to figure out who's getting off early and who needs a picnic lunch and who has a make up swimming lesson. There's also speech therapy and traffic court.
I have to go to the gym everyday, because I MUST loose 10 pounds before I step one foot on a beach. I've been using that Jerkins tanning moisturizer for a week, so hopefully my thighs won't be that nice whitish-blue color. It's very flattering.
I've also got a long to do list for our long vacation. New shorts, long t-shirts for the beach, tank tops. And bathing suits. How much does bathing suit shopping make me want to stick a loaded 45 in my mouth? Looks like I have graduated to a sensible Lands End bathing suit this year. It might even have a skirt. Pow!!
Every woman has her vanities. Even if the deck of cards that she's been given has a lot of 2s and 3s, there is always one or two high cards that she treasures. I've always been skinny. It's hard to let that card go.
So, I'm too consumed with chores and self loathing to do much on the blog this week. I have a couple posts in mind. One about feminism and the family. Another about the netroots backlash. Maybe tomorrow.
