Question of the Day -- Dream Vacation

Question of the Day -- If money was no object, where would you go on vacation?

Comments

Europe. For at least a year.

I'd start in Belgium and end in Austria, and would bike the whole way, except in big cities. But I would sleep in actual beds.

And I would eat as much and as awesome food as possible.

(I got to study in France for a year, and really love food.)

australia, thailand, or the aeolian islands. Assuming we're talking about a 1-4 week vacation.

Is it a vacation if you don't come back?

horse trekking across mongolia.

I have no interest in going to Mongolia, but I've always wanted to buy a few acres up in the hills and put in a yurt. No an authentic yurt, but one with electricity and plumbing and such. Seems better than a trailer.

I'd kind of like to go to Churchill in Canada and see the polar bears and belugas. I looked into it, but the cost was prohibitive, plus there's a long train ride.

If I'm looking at a 2 week vacation, I guess I'd want to go to Australia.

It's been so long since I had a good (by which I mean, lengthy and some place not within 3 hours of my home) (OK, we did Disney, but that was work, too) vacation that I can barely relate to the question!

The UK, for sure, starting with London and taking the family all around England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland in a nice, leisurely fashion.

Mars!

Trans-Siberian Railway--a pile of books, and a friend or two. I'm kind of thinking of taking my older child when she's a bit bigger, but of course there are security issues.

And the correct answer is Tokyo. Shiny, clean, sushi, cool toys.

More realistically, we may spend next summer in England, with the husband working in the London office. That would be a great adventure.
