NY Times this morning: "U.N. Suspends Aid Supplies to Myanmar."
"The United Nations suspended relief supplies to Myanmar on Friday after the military government seized the food and equipment it had already sent into the country."
There is no guarantee that any aid will reach the people. It will reach the junta.

I would like to recommend that AmeriCares, a nonprofit international disaster relief and humanitarian aid organization, be included in your list of reputable organizations contributing to relief efforts in Burma.
At this very moment, AmeriCares personnel have arrived in Amsterdam with 15 tons of medical supplies, including antibiotics, and are awaiting authorization to enter Myanmar.
To donate to AmeriCares, people can call 1-800-486-HELP or visit www.americares.org or follow us on our Twitter profile, AmeriCares.
Best regards,
Erin Skinner, on behalf of AmeriCares
