Domestic Bliss

David Brooks brought up the Hirshman piece, which the blogosphere chewed up and spit out last month. (If you missed it, read this, this, this, this, this, this, and this.

Brooks' punchline: Hirshman has it exactly backward. Power is in the kitchen. The big problem is not the women who stay there but the men who leave.
